Ideally, as the world moves forward with embracing EVs, renewable energy will be increasingly incorporated.
At U-Go, we have been working diligently in partnership with our sister company, Oak Energy Partners, and alongside, TimberRock Energy Solutions, in order to effectively integrate a solar photovoltaic (PV) system on site. Our goal of designing this carport is to emphasize our commitment to offset non-renewable electricity consumed by EVs at our stations. Ultimately, the use of these solar carport stations will increase the percentage of renewable energy used to power electric vehicles as opposed to coal-fired and other less-renewable sources.
These EV Charging Station are ideal for various locations. It can also help developers of commercial properties achieve higher LEED status for setting aside parking for low-emission vehicles and reducing conventional commuting trips. Essentially, the adoption of EVs is the first step in reducing dependency on foreign oil, but with our partnership, we believe incorporating these solar EV charging stations provides a clean, renewable power infrastructure to take another step toward the solution.
U-Go Stations Cayman Ltd.
It seems obvious that a prime location for U-Go to begin installation of such a charging station would be an area which has high solar potential and is already experiencing higher gas prices than the continental US. Therefore, with the support of Cayman Automotive, U-Go Cayman, Ltd. was formed to incorporate this technology on the islands.
Internal combustion engine car drivers on the road today demand diversity in their refueling options. The requirements for EVs will be no different. To incorporate renewable energy on site, U-Go hopes to catalyze the adoption of EVs, so that we can all meet the need to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels to benefit future generations of humanity.
