U-Go Stations has chosen industry leader Coulomb Technologies to supply their ChargePoint networked charging stations. Business Week magazine recognized Coulomb Technologies as one of the Top 20 Businesses of the Future. Time magazine recognized their ChargePoint Network one of the 50 Best Inventions of 2010. The charging stations are enhanced by a rich software environment providing ease of use and a host of other features ensuring the highest level of service for its users.

There are two types of charging stations utilized by U-Go Stations:

Level II station utilizes 220/240 voltage requiring a dedicated 30 amp electric power source. A charging session will range from 1hour to 4 hours, depending on battery level.

Level III charging station is a "quick charge" utilizing a 480 volt power source, permitting a 15 to 30 minute full charge. Available for sale in the second quarter of 2011.

U-go currently uses the ChargePoint Level II networked charging station. This charger features a contactless reader for ease of use and a full network of software and support for managing our stations carelessly.

The ChargePoint system enables U-Go to control the pricing of the charge, time limits, and advertisements on the unit's LED display, controlled remotely from multiple office locations. Information is maintained, accounting for the amount of time each unit is in use, electricity used, and reduction in greenhouse gasses. It will also track the volumetric by time of day in order to analyze peak time usage.

Drivers can locate U-Go charging stations, and monitor the charging status of their EV from their computer or their smart phone. U-Go keeps drivers informed so they know their EV charging status at all times. The network can notify drivers with a text or email message when their vehicle is fully charged or if their charging session is interrupted for any reason such as unplugged cable or ground fault.

Users can pay for their charging session with a major credit card via a contactless payment system.
